WORK-LIFE BALANCE
It is widely accepted in Hong Kong that hard work involves putting in overtime at the office. The myth of success is focusing on work demands at the expense of family life. It stresses our physical health and pushes our lives into chaos. Eventually we lose pleasure in our work and productivity drops.

So let us ¡§Work Smarter ¡K Not harder!¡¨

To get the Work-Life Balance right, first, we need to understand the six pillars in our lives.

1. Personal Life

2. Family Life

3. Social Life

4. Professional Life

5. Physical Life

6. Financial Management

Just like the axles in the wheel, a balancing movement drive the wheel runs smoothly. Get these pillars in balance and you¡¦ve got it right; get one or more out of balance, and you will have pressures that lead to feelings of stress and unhappiness. On the contrary, a holistic development of life brings in pleasure to life and inspires insights in work.

The Work-Life balance does not mean equally allocating the time you spend on different aspect or your life, this is unrealistic and unrewarding. Instead, it is the ¡§Art of Life¡¨ in balancing achievement and enjoyment.
